My LG 34UM94-P Monitor is running in all its 3440x1440 glory!!!! I rebooted and then opened System Preferences/Displays -chose the "Scaled" option and there was the 3440x1440 resolution at the top of the list. Ran the KextBeast program and it installed the file exactly where it is suppose to be. Copied the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext file to my desktop.

Since that strangely, tis resolution was supported in Mavericks and NOT Yosemite Have found this post about Mac Mini late 2012 ( as mine ) and 3440*1440 res. Here some screen shots of my working space : It can handle up to 2560x1600 via the TB port and up to 1920x1200 via HDMI. The 2012 mini has thunderbolt 1 and does not support 4k resolutions. TB 2 supports display port 1.2 and provides the bandwidth for 4k resolutions.
